Wine Flights

Zellas is always trying to introduce “off-the-beaten-path” wines to our guests. With a three ounce sample of each wine, a wine flight is the perfect way to try new wines with minimal commitment. Our new flight series highlights Spain. Not only are they some of Tiffany’s favorites, they offer incredible value for the high quality – wines this good usually cost twice as much!

Beginning October 1st, you can bring your stamped flight card to the Liquor Hutch and receive a 15% discount if you purchase one or all three of the featured Spanish Reds!

The flight series will change frequently, so come in to do some research – and save on your favorites at the Liquor Hutch!

Starting October 1st - Flight #2 - Spanish Reds

Ercavio Tempranillo Roble, 2007, Toledo. A glass-coating opaque purple in color, it delivers an expressive nose of cedar, earth notes, black cherry, and blackberry liqueur. Thick, dense, and opulent on the palate, it has gobs of savory black fruit, licorice and spice notes, and a lengthy finish. It totally over-delivers for its humble price. 90+ points from the Wine Advocate.

Evodia Old Vines Garnacha, 2007, Calatayud. “Evodia” is the Greek word for "aroma" - it's a perfect name for this wine! Very fresh, straightforward scents of raspberry and blackberry, plus a hint of cracked pepper. Juicy and tannin-free, with spicy red and dark berry flavors and gentle mineral lift. Easy to drink with a superb value and good finishing bite.

Juan Gil Monastrell, 2007, Jumilla. This purple-colored wine offers superb aromatics of wood smoke, damp earth, violets, and blueberry pie. Layered, succulent, and long, it will evolve for another 2-3 years and be at its best from 2010 to 2018. 91 points from Robert Parker.
